Position Purpose
Responsible for the effective supervision of personnel and equipment for the construction, operation, maintenance and inspection of the Companys overhead and underground electric transmission and distribution systems during both scheduled and emergency situations. Also responsible for the design and completion of projects in accordance with company construction standards and state and federal codes, while ensuring the reliable, efficient and safe delivery of electric distribution service to customers. Responsible for the planning and scheduling of such projects to ensure timely completion and within acceptable budgetary tolerances. Professionally interact with customers, regulatory authorities, and employees to ensure the company satisfactorily meets their needs.

Crew Supervision: Organizes and supervises the work of field crews to ensure safe, efficient and effective performance. Develops and maintains scope, schedules and budgets for personnel, materials, and other resources as required to ensure the timely completion of budgeted construction, operation, and maintenance projects. Ensures that system operation, construction and maintenance activities comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, and company standards.
+ Accountable for crew performance including quality and quantity of work.
+ Oversee the daily activities of employees.
+ Use a cost effective approach in scheduling crews and assigning personnel to specific projects.

Project Planning and Coordination (Maintenance and Construction): Responsible for overall coordination and supervision of the planning of projects associated with the maintenance and construction of the distribution and transmission system. These responsibilities include:

+ Prepare cost estimates
+ Prepare construction planners for projects including material requirements.
+ Prepare authorizations.
+ Ensures successful cross-boundary interface with other functional areas in the value chain including procurement & inventory, plant records, plant accounting, engineering, and customer service.
+ Utilizes scheduling, tracking, and reporting mechanisms to ensure the timely and cost effective completion of budgeted projects and associated expenditures.
+ Complete as-built drawings and associated project paperwork to ensure accurate and timely closeout.

Qualifications
+ Associates Degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent work experience.
+ 5 years of progressively responsible experience, including proven supervisory experience.
+ Must accept supervisory standby on rotation basis.
+ Must reside within a specified geographic area and be available for duties during times of system emergencies.
+ Requires CDL and Driver Qualification File
+ Will be drug tested under the FMCSA drug pool
