ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Senior Technical Build Specialist is a hands-on leader in fabrication, assembly, and build execution, transforming creative concepts into high-quality, mock-ups and exhibits. They bring deep expertise in working with wood, metal, foam and other materials, interpreting electronic CAD drawings, technical schematics, and sketches with precision. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, clients, and global partners, you'll help turn bold ideas into exceptional, tangible results-driving innovation through every stage of the design/build process.

As a senior team member, you will drive process improvements, set best practices, and mentor entry specialists to ensure efficiency, quality workmanship, and structural integrity in every project.

Travel Expectations

Occasional domestic and international travel to support client and/or vendor projects or meetings.

You're fluent in working with materials like wood, metal, foam, and composites, and you understand how to pivot seamlessly between prototypes and polished presentations. Collaboration energizes you-you enjoy working alongside designers, engineers, and clients to troubleshoot, refine, and execute builds that push boundaries.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • OWNING

  • Act as an example, leading the production teams in the fabrication, assembly and installation of mockups and exhibits.

  • Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to plan, scope, and budget mockup builds, proactively identifying challenges and solutions to streamline execution.

  • Act as a direct point of contact for design project leads and clients, providing expert guidance, and anticipating needs.

  • Mentor and develop Technical Build Specialists, fostering skill growth, consistency in workmanship, and a clear understanding of project deliverables and build techniques.

  • Model Teague's safety culture by strictly adhering to safety and security protocols and proactively reporting potential hazards to management.

  • Adapt and contribute to evolving project needs, embracing new challenges and responsibilities that align with company and team objectives.

  • Produce high-precision mockups, prototypes, and exhibits, delivering exceptional quality while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.

  • Transform complex designs into reality by accurately interpreting electronic CAD models, technical drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.

  • Operate manual machinery with precision, ensuring high-quality fabrication and consistent output.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and hands-on leader for the Tech Build function, guiding project teams through complex builds with expertise and strategic decision-making.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship or technical degree in a relevant field is highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with precision power tools, including drills, saws, grinders, sanders, and routers preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and leading other team members.
  • Advanced knowledge of mockups and exhibits and display construction by interpreting rough sketches or detailed engineering drawings and descriptions.
  • High proficiency in construction standards, including advanced techniques, industry terminology, and specialized equipment operations.
  • Advanced in interpreting CAD models, technical drawings, and sketches and translating verbal instructions into actionable tasks.
  • Excellent proficiency in construction mathematics, with practical knowledge of essential formulas and calculations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of measurement systems, including hands-on experience with precision tools like calipers for accurate assessments.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite or other digital collaboration software.

The salary range for this job in most US geographic locations is $33.00 - $49.00.
