Salary Range: $115,000 - $140,000 / year

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER - GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS

We are seeking a motivated Construction Manager with a PE License in Engineering or RA, AIA Architect tto join our team at SIRIS to support a construction program at the VA Medical Center in Hines, Illinois. The Construction Manager will report to the Program Director as well as collaborate and assist VA client staff to provide data, and generate reports, as a representative for the client on the Medical Centers construction projects.

Responsibilities

The Construction Manager will lead a team of design, engineering, and construction professionals as well as act as the Owner's representative from design through construction and closeout. The Construction Manager will be required to learn, teach, and implement industry and SIRIS best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality, and operations in the healthcare environment. The Construction Manager will require experience leading and mentoring a team of professionals and experience as an advisor/liaison with the client (user groups, design team, contractors, and facility engineering representatives). The Construction Manager, along with other SIRIS program team members, will provide design and construction management services as part of traditional Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build contracts. i. Scheduling

iii. Value Engineering

iv. Market Analysis

v. Constructability and Phasing Review

Construction Period Phase

i. Monitoring project financial data and budgetary cost accounting

ii. Construction Phase scheduling

iii. Progress Meetings

iv. Assisting in issue resolution.

v. Testing and Inspection Services

vi. Commissioning

vii. Performing additional construction-related services

viii. Claims Analysis and Resolution Services

Qualifications

  • License: Yes
  • The Construction Manager shall hold a bachelors degree in architecture, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering from an accredited school of higher education.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial design and construction projects including some experience with medical facilities.
  • Knowledge: Able to quickly understand and master
  • Requirements of local state and federal jurisdiction concerning the Project.
  • Construction Contract Documents including Front End and Technical Specifications and Drawings to readily understand and assess the requirements.
  • Working knowledge of engineering services, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling to lead to the project's success.
  • Leadership: Must possess the skillset and competence to supervise and manage personnel of diverse skill sets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with managing project teams on Federal government projects.
  • CCM, PMP certifications
