The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects for both private and public sectors with values from $75,000-$10M, analyzing project plans and specifications, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.** **Key Responsibilities:** - **Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial projects.** - **Perform quantity take-offs and cost analyses for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.** - **Solicit, evaluate and negotiate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.** - **Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to clarify project requirements and address any discrepancies.** - **Assist in the preparation and submission of bid proposals and presentations.** - **Monitor industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure accurate and up-to-date estimates.** **Participate in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives during the pre-construction phase.
