Marine Electrician

Express Employment is seeking a skilled Marine Electrician to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on a variety of marine vessels. This includes both commercial and recreational boats. We're looking for someone with hands-on experience in marine environments and a solid understanding of maritime electrical standards. Key Responsibilities: Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures on boats and ships Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, including navigation and communication systems Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and ensure compliance with safety regulations Perform preventive maintenance on electrical components and systems Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure timely completion of projects Ensure all work meets ABYC, USCG, and other relevant standards Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Marine Electrician or equivalent role Strong knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, batteries, generators, wiring, and marine electronics Familiarity with marine-specific codes and safety standards Ability to work in confined spaces and in a physically demanding marine environment Valid driver's license; ability to travel to marinas, docks, and shipyards as needed
