Working Foreman - Residential Development & Utility Construction Location: Quincy, WA Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: $80,000+ DOE About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Working Foreman to lead field operations in the construction of residential developments and civil utility infrastructure, including water and sewer systems. This role combines leadership, equipment operation, and on-site coordination to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, residential construction, and underground utility installation, with the ability to lead crews and manage daily site activities. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and lead field crews during site preparation, excavation, grading, and utility installations. Operate heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, backhoes, loaders, water trucks) as needed to assist in daily operations. Interpret engineering plans and ensure work is performed in accordance with design specifications and safety standards. Oversee installation of water and sewer systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and project requirements. Coordinate with project managers, utility inspectors, and subcontractors to maintain schedule and resolve issues promptly. Perform and monitor routine equipment inspections and maintenance. Enforce safety protocols and ensure job site compliance with OSHA and company safety policies. Track and report daily progress, labor hours, equipment usage, and materials. Provide mentorship and training to crew members, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Foreman or Lead Operator in residential development or civil utility construction. Strong background operating heavy equipment and leading field crews. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and utility layouts. Knowledge of underground utilities, excavation best practices, and grading techniques. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Familiarity with job site documentation, safety inspections, and quality control. Valid driver's license (CDL a plus); ability to travel to various job sites.
