POSITION DESCRIPTION
An experienced engineer is required to support ongoing civil design work in the Engineering directorate. The candidate will provide support to design projects in the construction phase to ensure deconfliction of issues along with development of design documents. If required, the candidate will be responsible for development and configuration management products and discovery of existing conditions. The candidate will ensure requirements are traceable and transparent throughout the project lifecycle, including design, construction, procurement, startup and turnover to operations. Current project work includes the Fleet Waterline Project.
QualificationsEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Level I:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or equivalent degree, with a minimum of 5 years’ combined relevant design/field experience required.
Level II:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, related phases of engineering, and field experience in the inspection of construction projects.
- Nevada Professional Engineer License, or ability to obtain through alternate state reciprocity, required.
Level III:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, related phases of engineering, and field experience in the inspection of construction projects.
- Nevada Professional Engineer License, or ability to obtain through alternate state reciprocity, required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to civil engineering design.
- Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
- Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening.

CONTRACT DURATION
F ulltime position, with a 6 month contract. Potential to extend up to 2 years.
