Industrial Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Mechanic**

Salary Range - $25.00 - $30.00

**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**
Full Time - Monday through Friday 7 AM to 3:30 PM. This position may require you to work long hours during a breakdown.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Summary/Objective **
The industrial maintenance technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical issues on manufacturing equipment including, but not limited to stamping presses, conveyors, robotic welders, and automation packaging equipment such as case sealers and case erectors.

**Essential Functions**

1. Perform maintenance on various types of production equipment (machine repair, electrical, mechanical, welding and fabrication)
2. Proficient in diagnosing and performing mechanical troubleshooting (power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.)
3. Construct, assemble, and install machines and equipment using a variety of hand and power tools
4. Serve as a resource and support in a production environment
5. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
6. Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum efficiency
7. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
8. Comply with OSHA safety and health rules
9. Performs necessary preventative maintenance on equipment per PM schedule
10. Collaborate with other departments to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
11. Completes maintenance related paperwork and record keeping as required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
