OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equipment repair and maintenance, with a focus on diesel engine repair and electrical systems. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues. The Mechanic will work on various types of heavy equipment and machinery, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in heavy equipment, small engine, pick up trucks, roll off trucks, dump trucks.
Perform preventative and routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance.
Repair and maintain diesel engines, electrical systems, and other components.
Fabricate parts as necessary to complete repairs or modifications.
Provide tire service including installation, rotation, and balancing.
Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing.
REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of engine repair and electrical systems.
Ability to perform equipment repairs and maintenance tasks independently.
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
Willingness to work in various conditions, including outdoor environments.
Must have own tools and tool chest, heavier duty tools supplied
Must have clean driving record and valid Driver's License (CDL major bonus)
