Job Description
We are looking for a Process Project Engineer II to join our Manufacturing Engineering team at Remington Ammunition. The Process Project Engineer will plan, manage, and coordinate projects and processes using the latest technologies to develop new processes, improve production efficiencies and resolve manufacturing challenges.
The Process Project Engineer II reports to the Manufacturing Engineer Manager and is based out of Lonoke, Arkansas facility.
As the Process Project Engineer II, you will have the opportunity to:
- Initiate and lead engineering projects including cost improvements and capital projects
- Write technical reports and present them to management and other interested parties
- Analyze operational data such as production costs, process flow charts and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of employees, tooling, supplies, and equipment
- Research root cause of product variation, develop and execute projects to reduce product variation.
- Initiate process changes and improvements, maintain process records and drawings
- Analyze Overall Equipment Effectiveness of various machines, develop and execute projects to improve OEE
- Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste
- Work effectively and collaboratively with a cross-discipline team
- Effectively communicate with manufacturing personnel and management
- Regularly interact with and provide technical guidance to manufacturing and shop personnel
- Assist in training production personnel in work instruction and procedures
- Assist in troubleshooting machinery malfunction
- Understand product specifications and interpret ballistics performance data
- Understand how manufacturing processes affect the performance characteristics of the product
You have:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering/Science discipline
- At least five years of experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent organizational, communication, project management and teamwork skills
- Exceptional problem-solving ability
- Familiarity with manufacturing operations and lean principles
- Hands-on experience with machining and manufacturing equipment
- Experience with SolidWorks or CAD
You might also have:
- Knowledge and experience with ammunition, handloading, hunting, shooting, and firearms
- Metallurgical knowledge of copper alloys and tool steels/carbides
- Previous experience in metal forming and/or high volume manufacturing
- Experience in tool and fixture design.
Work Environment:
Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.
Pay Range:
$73,100.00 - $102,200.00
The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
