Starting at $38.50/hour

Shift Availability: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shift

Are you an experienced electrician looking to join a company that values precision, safety, and innovation? We are currently seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our skilled trades team at our Gaylord, Michigan facility.

You'll work in a collaborative environment where your expertise plays a key role in maintaining and optimizing industrial electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret and install electrical systems using blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical panels and systems.

Connect power supplies and interface wiring across various machinery and equipment.

Maintain detailed logs documenting equipment issues, repairs, calibrations, and testing.

Calibrate machinery to meet operational specifications.

Replace defective components including relays, switches, motors, and sensors.

Perform diagnostic testing on malfunctioning equipment using appropriate tools and software.

Set up and test new industrial equipment for functionality and safety.

Inspect system components for proper installation and identify potential issues.

Utilize electrical schematics to support troubleshooting and repair tasks.

Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure operational reliability.

Follow high voltage testing protocols to ensure safe performance.

Use software tools to draw, edit, and store electrical schematics.

Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) using a laptop interface.

Job Qualifications

State of Michigan Electrical License required.

Journeyman certificate or minimum of 8 years' experience in a comparable electrical role.

Proficient with Allen Bradley control systems.

Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Highly organized with effective task prioritization skills.

Flexible availability to work all assigned shifts and required overtime.

Physically capable of working extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Willingness to occasionally perform duties outside of this job description as needed.
