New Construction Project Manager
Were a fast-moving construction and development company seeking a sharp, experienced New Construction Project Manager to oversee new construction builds including ADUs, small cottages, and modular homes in Portland and Happy Valley. This role is hands-on, balancing time between job sites and our fabrication shop.
Youll report directly to the owner and work alongside a tight-knit, small team of experienced tradespeople committed to smart, efficient building.
Responsibilities
Manage construction timelines, budgets, and subcontractor coordination
Lead on-site execution for modular installs and custom cottage builds
Oversee shop-based prefab work and material coordination
Handle permitting, inspections, and city communication
Collaborate on preconstruction planning and estimating
Maintain detailed documentation and communicate progress clearly
What Were Looking For
5+ years in residential or modular construction
Strong background in new construction project management
Familiarity with preconstruction, cost estimating, and local permitting
Highly organized and solutions-oriented
Able to work both independently and with the team and take full ownership of projects
Bonus: Experience with modular assembly, shop fabrication, or sustainable building
Compensation & Growth
$70,000 to $100,000/year, based on experience
Start as 1099, with path to employee status and ownership opportunities
Flexible work structure between field and shop
