Summary We are looking for an expert Millwright with enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and interest in machines to join our team. As a Millwright, your expertise in mechanical systems and your ability to troubleshoot, and address issues will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our material handling processes. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment On a daily basis, you'll be working on material handling projects, dismantling/assembling machines. You'll be moving machines to different locations, and dismantling obsolete or irreparable machines or parts. Job Description JOB REQUIREMENTS Associate's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Technical Discipline OR High School Diploma/GED with a Military Mechanical Training Courses OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of five (5) years of recent (within 3-years) experience as a journey level millwright in a manufacturing operation General machine assembly, and machine alignment experience Must have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skill /experience Must have the willingness and ability to work at heights as well as climbing stairs ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Ability and willingness to work off shifts and weekends Must be 18 years or older Legal authorization to work in the US is required. DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS: Minimum 3 years work experience in Manufacturing Facility in a technical maintenance role (preferably as a Millwright) Strong mechanical and hydraulic fundamental and safety knowledge (schematics, precision measurement tools, LOTO) Forklift and scissors lift experience highly preferred. Welding, Fabrication - TIG, MIG and/or STICK welding will be a plus. JOB DESCRIPTION Perform maintenance operations such as moving, rearranging, installing and repairing facilities and utilities throughout the complex. Power trucks, cranes, trailers, bosun chair, precision alignment devices such as optical level, straight edge, etc., a variety of lifting devices such as block and tackle, chain falls, etc,, power hand tools, a variety of miscellaneous hand and measuring tools such as wrenches, hammers, crowbars, ladders, steel tapes, dial indicators, tension gages, etc. Secure job assignment and minimum instructions for complex work, conventional facilities, and diverse materials. Plan sequence of operations. Select and obtain tools and facilities. Working from drawings, sketches, specifications and verbal instructions, layout and prepare an area for installation of equipment. Hitch, block and brace machinery and equipment such as overhead cranes, gantry cranes, machines, generators, etc,, using cables, tackle, jacking and blocking devices, wedges, shims, etc. Move equipment and machinery into position with assistance of overhead cranes, hoists, etc., or along the floor with rollers, block, and tackle, etc. Spot equipment in correct location, align, level the ways, table, head, etc., measuring with spirit level, optical level, or indicators, etc. Select shims and shim as required. Assemble and adjust all mechanical and hydraulic accessories. Check off accessory parts list and report shortages. Realign and re-level using spirit level, optical level, etc., and make adjustments necessary to cause the machine tool to cut true and equipment to operate properly. Assemble and disassemble machines, machine accessories, cranes and components, other equipment or parts and move as required, exercising care to prevent damage. Erect scaffolding, hitch bosun chair or trailer and work from there as required. May install, repair and paint towers, stacks, poles, etc. May splice rope, cable, etc. as required. Operate power truck as required. Stow away tools and facilities. Perform operations such as assemble, align, relocate, hitch, and lift to very close tolerances within upper limits of the facilities on variety of machine tools and other types of equipment. Keep facilities, material, and work area orderly, exercising care in their use, maintaining general good housekeeping practices, and conforming to all safety and quality requirements. The hourly pay range for this position $30.90 - $37.61USD per hour. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
