Structural Designer (Industrial / Power)

We are seeking experienced Structural Design professionals to join a confidential, multi-year initiative. This role involves providing drafting and detailing support for the structural design of a Reactor Building, from the preliminary phase through to the construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 3D Revit structural models and 2D drawings and details of structural building systems.
• Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 3D models, 2D cross sections, section details, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of a structural discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy and strategy.
• Apply knowledge of structural drafting and design best practices, including interfaces with mechanical piping, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Work with BIM coordinator to manage and issue models in Autodesk Construction Cloud tool while enforcing configuration management plan.
• Support the Civil Structural Team in 3D modeling using Navisworks and Revit.
• Use multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

• Proficiency in Revit and Autodesk suite of tools.
• Structural design and engineering skills.
• Experience in structural drafting for heavy industrial, thermal power, nuclear industry, or similar industries.
• Minimum 3 years of experience using Revit for structural modeling.
• Technical experience and analytical thinking.

• Associates degree in Structural Design or similar, with 3 years of relevant experience, or at least 5 years of relevant work experience in structural drafting.
• Competency in computer programs and software such as Microsoft products and Microsoft Teams.
• Advanced knowledge of Revit family creation.
• Autodesk Inventor experience is a plus.
• Experience using Autodesk BIM360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Experience using Autodesk Vault.
• Experience managing project work schedules and priorities.
• Ability to work proactively with Engineering teams to develop 3D Model in Autodesk Tool suite (Revit).
• Experience working within a team environment to execute work plans and schedules for mission success.
• Perform work in compliance with policies and procedures.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $60.00/hr.
