Overview**
We are seeking a skilled **Journeyman Electrician** to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and residential settings. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and safety regulations.
**Schedule:** 2nd shift 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
**Pay: $37.00 - $40.00/hr DOE**
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicants experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
**401(k)** You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to understand the layout of electrical systems.
+ Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components for faults.
+ Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
+ Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
+ Follow National Electrical Code and local building regulations.
+ Conduct regular preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
+ Train and mentor apprentice electricians.
+ Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
**Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship program.
+ Valid journeyman electrician license.
+ Proven experience as an electrician in commercial and residential settings.
+ Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and safety regulations.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Good physical condition and ability to work in various environments.
**Preferred Skills:**
+ Certification in specific electrical systems or technologies.
+ Familiarity with HVAC systems.
+ Experience with maintenance management software
