Equipment Maintenance Mechanic

Are you mechanically inclined and passionate about heavy industrial equipment? Join a team that values quality, precision, and safety. We're looking for an Equipment Maintenance Mechanic to perform hands-on repair and maintenance of paper machine rolls of all sizes.

Schedules Available:

1st shift: 6 AM - 2 PM

2nd shift: 2 PM - 10 PM

3rd shift: 10 PM - 5 AM

Pay Rate: $17 - $25/hr. (Depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform setup, disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of paper machine rolls across various sizes.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards during repair procedures, prioritizing efficiency and safety.
• Demonstrate proficiency in repair practices, with a comprehensive understanding of mechanical assemblies and diverse roll types.
• Apply knowledge of equipment usage within paper machine manufacturing operations and associated machinery.
• Execute tasks involving the lifting and movement of heavy loads using overhead cranes.
• Apply expertise in setups and protocols pertinent to large equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience.
• Precisely balance paper machine rolls according to specified tolerances outlined in work orders, under the guidance of supervisors or engineers.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements and communicate findings to supervisors.
• Utilize experience and available data to make informed decisions regarding roll balancing.
• Perform weight transfers into roll shells, including drilling, tapping, and bolting as necessary.
• Access internal components of rolls for weight transfer operations.
• Fulfill other assigned duties as required.
