Job Description

We are seeking a Civil Engineer EIT who is proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D to join our dynamic team. This role involves preparing grading plans, utility plans, erosion control, and contour grading plans, as well as working collaboratively with engineers, surveyors, and drafters. The position offers a unique opportunity to design water mains, sanitary sewers, and storm sewers for planned developments or specific site development projects. You will interpret survey, architectural, MEP, structural, and landscape mapping, plans, reports, and other design documents.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for grading plans, utility plans, erosion control, and contour grading plans.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, surveyors, and drafters.
  • Prepare permit applications at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Design water mains, sanitary sewers, and storm sewers to serve planned developments.
  • Interpret survey, architectural, MEP, structural, and landscape mapping, plans, and reports.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ambitious and quick learner.
  • Eagerness to learn.
  • Must possess EIT and have the ability to obtain PE.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Work Environment

The position is based in our new office space in Oak Brook, where you will be part of a small team of four employees. You will work in conjunction with our East Dundee office and receive support from our Wisconsin office. Our projects include industrial developments, Amazon facilities, and new multi-family projects. The role requires full-time office attendance from 8-5 with potential for flexible hours. Hybrid schedules may be considered once employees gain experience. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $37.50/hr.
