Ameresco has a new opportunity in the Southern/San Diego California territory for an Electrician to Install, maintain, test and repair: Solar electrical systems as they relate to building systems and all other related equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform skilled maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting work involved with electrical solar energy in a number of areas including, solar energy, heating, refrigeration, motors, fire alarm, generator and kitchen equipment;
- Read blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings to determine efficient installation and repair;
- Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures for the purpose of system repair;
- Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, regulatory, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes; and
- Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Journeyman Electrician License CA plus a minimum of 3 years applicable solar experience required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
- Ability to pass security investigation and substance testing requirements.
Additional Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of operating and servicing entire building and support systems including HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic, DDC and building safety equipment. Must observe and comply with all standard safety codes and practice, and perform work in accordance with recognized trade and Ameresco standards.
- Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by state of residence.
- Ability to successfully complete position training and testing requirements.
- Advanced computer skills including email and data entry using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent verbal, written, computer communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. & transport equipment and tools in excess of 300 lbs.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, stand, stoop, lift, carry, reach, climb, hear, see, and work on ladders for extended periods of time with hands and arms at heights to install equipment.
- Travel and flexibility for on call support or varied schedule needs.
