Tutor Perini is the general contractor for the HART City Center Guideway and Stations project. The scope of the approximately $1.66 billion contract includes the design and construction of six rail stations and approximately three miles of elevated rail guideway beginning just east of the Middle Street Transit Center Station and ending at the Civic Center Station, which will be located just east of the intersection of Halekauwila Street and South Street in downtown Honolulu. Project design is expected to begin immediately while construction is estimated to commence in the second half of 2025. Construction of this segment is expected to be substantially completed in 2030.

DESCRIPTION:
As an Entry-Level Field Engineer at Tutor Perini Corp., reporting to the Project Manager , you will have the opportunity to:
Coordinate daily with project crews to review schedules and ensure that materials, equipment, and resources are available to keep the project on time and within budget
Provide technical input for work plans and scheduling while identifying and mitigating risks that could impact cost or timelines
Track daily progress and evaluate performance against budget and schedule metrics, documenting activities using approved company tools
Accurately input project quantities and manage cost coding in coordination with finance to ensure accurate reporting of labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses
Assist with quality assurance reviews at all phases of the project, ensuring proper certifications, inspections, and documentation are completed
Assist in field layout planning, confirm utility markings, and manage permits prior to the start of work
Support estimators with project schedules and contribute technical insights as needed
Participate in the development of design drawings and collaborate with engineering staff
Coordinate subcontractor activities, including work methods, scheduling, and crew assignments
Maintain a strong understanding of and alignment with company values and strategic goals
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a recent graduate with a degree completed between Winter 2024 and Spring 2025 in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Strong interest in fieldwork and construction project execution
Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or scheduling software is a plus
Ability to work in outdoor environments and on active construction sites
Must reside in the Honolulu, HI area
