Workers are required to drive tractors to plant, work and harvest
cotton, corn, rice and soybeans, and work as a general farm laborer
performing such duties as: drainage, levee work. shovel work, irrigation
duties, putting out poly pipe, field sanitation duties, minor repair and
maintenance to farm vehicle and equipment, working in and around the
shop, keeping the shop area clean and orderly, keeping the shop and
house yards mowed and clean of debris, cleaning farm vehicles and
equipment, as well as any other general farm labor that may arise during
the operation of a grain farm. Drug tests may be administered post-hire
at no cost to the workers, to ensure workers safety and to keep in
compliance with workers compensation guidelines. Failure to comply or
testing positive may result in immediate termination. Workers must be
physically able to perform all duties described.
In view of the statutorily established basic function of the ES as a
no-fee labor exchange, that is, as a forum for bringing together
employers and job seekers, neither the ETA nor the SWAs are guarantors
of the accuracy or truthfulness of information contained on job orders
submitted by employers. Nor does any job order accepted or recruited
upon by the ES constitute a contractual job offer to which the ETA or a
SWA is in any way a party
