What you will be doing as a Dirt Estimator:
  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for earthwork, grading, excavation, and related site preparation projects.
  • Analyze civil plans, topography, and soil reports to determine quantities and production needs.
  • Create and maintain estimating spreadsheets and templates using Microsoft Excel.
  • Review and analyze subcontractor and vendor pricing for completeness and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and engineers to ensure scope accuracy.
  • Assist with budgeting, job costing, and financial tracking throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ensure estimates are realistic, well-documented, and reflect current market conditions.

A successful candidate for this Dirt Estimator role will possess:
