**ABOUT**
The AIS Infrastructure Group consists of four civil/vertical construction companies. Our services include infrastructure improvement, heavy civil construction, vertical construction, site development for government and state agencies and private enterprise across the United States.
**GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY**
The Civil Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil and electrical infrastructure projects. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of construction and industrial services projects. The Civil Electrical Estimator must possess a strong knowledge of cost estimation techniques, project management principles, and adhere to AIS Infrastructure's safety standards and protocols.
**MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine project requirements and scope.
+ Estimate labor, material and equipment costs for civil and electrical installations
+ Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and subcontractors to gather relevant information for cost estimation.
+ Review and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and civil plans.
+ Evaluate and analyze project risks, identifying potential cost overruns and proposing mitigation strategies.
+ Review and compare subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
+ Prepare and present cost estimates to clients, management, and stakeholders.
+ Provide support in the negotiation and procurement of contracts, subcontractors, and suppliers.
+ Assist in the preparation of project budgets and cost tracking throughout the construction process.
+ Stay updated on industry trends, construction market conditions, and pricing of materials and labor.
**Required:**
+ Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to access secured facilities, including military bases.
**EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES**
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
+ Experience with public sector or government bidding processes, preferred.
+ Professional certifications in cost estimation or construction management (e.g., Certified Cost Professional) are a plus.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost estimation for civil construction projects.
+ Sound knowledge of construction project management principles.
+ Familiarity with construction industry practices, including subcontracting and procurement.
+ Strong mathematical and analytical skills for accurate cost calculations.
+ Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
+ Proficiency in using cost estimation software and tools.
+ Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
+ Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
+ Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve cost-related issues.
+ Familiarity with relevant industry codes, regulations, and standards.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and project management software.
