Summary: Designs thermoform tooling (Cavities, Assist Plugs, Mold Assemblies, and Trim Assemblies) to run in TSL, Lyle, and Trim In-Place Thermoformers .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Create detailed engineering drawings and accurate models used to manufacture prototype and production thermoform tooling, utilizing Solid Works software. Maintain standard engineering data information and logs.

Studies Product Drawing specifications and confers with the Product Design Group personnel to resolve design issues.

Studies specifications, engineering data, and shop data and confers with engineering and shop personnel to resolve design problems related to material characteristics, dimensional tolerances, and manufacturing procedures.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Associate Degree in Applied Science for Drafting and Design and/or Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of two years related experience in a thermoforming manufacturing setting.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal customers.

Math Ability:

Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, and analysis.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software, and Solid Works Design software.
