Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil/Environmental Engineering graduate with 0-3 years of experience interested in pursuing a professional engineering career in water resources and sustainable water/wastewater infrastructure. You will join a project team dedicated to helping communities and industries solve their most challenging infrastructure problems. Our team-based culture fosters learning and growth, particularly for entry-level engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks.
  • Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior level team member.
  • Perform sub-professional engineering tasks such as field work, inspections, engineering reports, permits, construction engineering, and simple design calculations.
  • Coordinate with contractors.
  • Review construction drawings and specifications.
  • Contact government officials for permits.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of civil engineering experience in Water/Wastewater, Transportation, Site Development, or Stormwater/Drainage.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2, subject to verification via transcripts.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Knowledge of drainage, civil design, grading, and stormwater management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Passed FE (Engineer-in-Training) is preferred, but not required.
  • Candidates with 1+ year of Water/Wastewater design engineering experience with a GPA below 3.2 may be considered.

Work Environment

The office environment is laid-back yet can be deadline-driven. There is a strong sense of family and team orientation. Business casual attire is expected. The work schedule is flexible, with standard hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, and options to start as early as 7 AM or as late as 9 AM. There are opportunities for a four-day workweek with nine-hour days and a half-day on Fridays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.58 - $36.54/hr.
