Land Surveyor

Job Description:
Using Electronic Distance Measurement supported by Total Station software to measure boundary-related features to determine property boundaries. Collecting topographic and utility features on site in support of the Civil Engineering function based on instructions from the in-house supervisor. In-house drafting, utilizing AutoCad and Civil 3D, and analyzing field data using mathematical skills to prepare a variety of survey plats. In-field laying out the determined property boundaries or proposed improvements to be installed by the contractor and performing other construction services in the construction phases as well as for the final project close out. Visiting project sites in Chicago metropolitan area daily to collect field data followed by in-house data downloading, processing, and drafting. Working in the field 70% of the work time. Working in outdoor weather conditions and regularly lifting equipment up to 30 pounds.

Job Requirements:
A bachelors degree in Land Surveying, Geodata Science, or closely related field with one (1) year of experience in job offered or Civil Engineer position, including six (6) months of experience in each of the following: AutoCad, and Civil 3D. The ability to lift 30 pounds regularly, and to work in outdoor weather conditions.
