Compensation:

  • Hourly Pay Range: Pay is commensurate with experience
  • Project Manager I - 38.94/hr. - 42.83/hr.
  • Project Manager II - 43.90/hr. - 48.29/hr.
  • Project Manager III - 49.50/hr. - 54.45/hr.

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

The Project Manager (PM) leads, oversees, and ensures the successful delivery and management of multiple projects in construction and facilities management and / or related projects in other divisions of the KBI. The PM will manage overall planning, execution, and successful completion of construction and facility improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This includes managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial planning to final closeout.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Project Manager I

  • Work under the direction and mentorship of senior project managers while training to become competent and proficient in project management.
  • Coordinate several small, non-complex projects.
  • Work with key stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
  • Clearly communicate project expectations to team members.
  • Track and report on project milestones and provide timely status reports.

Project Manager II

  • Project Manager I responsibilities listed above.
  • Effectively manage multiple project initiatives concurrently.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all activities for the projects assigned to ensure objectives are accomplished safely within prescribed funding and scheduling parameters.
  • Monitor and control project(s) budget and schedule.
  • Prepare and report project(s) costs, progress, and forecasts.
  • Establish and execute project work plans.
  • Maintain open communication channels with agency management, contractor, sub-contractors, regulators, or other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit payment applications, Requests for Information, Purchase Orders, Submittals, Change Orders, Claims, Request for Proposals, Request for Qualifications, and any other required project related communication.
  • Serve as company representative at required project meetings or hearings and prepare documentation, as necessary.
  • Perform in depth review of all essential elements of projects assigned to identify challenges to mitigate or opportunities to realize.
  • Supervise work performed to ensure it meets agency standards and quality.
  • Review drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy.

Project Manager III

  • Project Manager I and II responsibilities listed above.
  • Mentor and train other project managers within the Project Management Office.
  • Effectively manage multiple complex project initiatives concurrently.
  • Ability to organize and manage a portfolio of projects.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree. Experience may be substituted as determined relevant

Licensing & Certification

  • PMP certification preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to facilitate and lead in group settings.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Proficient with personal computer and associated productivity tools.
  • Project Manager I: A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent job experience including technical training and/or extensive experience in construction, design, finance, and management.
  • Project Manager II: 2+ years of experience including technical training and/or extensive experience in construction, design, finance, and management and a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent job experience
  • Project Manager III: 4+ years of experience including technical training and/or extensive experience in construction, design, finance, and management and a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent job experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of related construction experience and in managing construction and facilities projects.
  • Skilled in using methodologies and tool sets compatible with project management.
  • Familiar with use of Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365, etc.

Physical Requirements

  • Possible walking on uneven surfaces, including ground in varying weather conditions.
  • Regularly sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/workday.
  • May stoop, kneel, or bend on an occasional basis.
  • May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on frequent basis.
  • Occasionally climb stairs or ladders, etc.
  • Regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Exposure to outdoor environment with machinery/equipment in the surrounding area.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required, including but not limited to steel toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, etc.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
