NSC Staffing is hiring 2 Construction Laborers to support an upcoming ship mooring construction project. This is a physically demanding role, ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on outdoor work and are experienced in construction or shipyard environments. The project involves building heavy-duty mooring structures using large timber, requiring material handling, cutting, and assembly tasks.

We are seeking:

? 1 General Construction Laborer - $22.00/hr

? 1 Skilled Construction Laborer with advanced tool experience - $24.00/hr

Project Details:

You will assist in constructing a ship mooring system, including cutting and moving large 12"x12" lumber and transporting materials across the project area. Skilled Laborers must have experience with high-end power tools (saws, drills, cutting equipment) and be capable of working with precision and safety.

Schedule:

• Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Friday is a company holiday
• Overtime may be available as the project progresses

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut and handle heavy 12"x12" lumber used for constructing the ship mooring.
• Transport materials, tools, and supplies across the worksite ("humping" materials).
• Assist with assembly and structural build-out of mooring components.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite in compliance with safety standards.
• Follow instructions from site leads and supervisors to complete project tasks on schedule.
• Skilled Laborer: Safely utilize high-end tools for precision cutting, fitting, and assembly tasks.

Qualifications:

General Laborer ($22/hr)

• Minimum 1 year of experience in construction, shipyard, or heavy labor work.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools.

Skilled Laborer ($24/hr)

• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, carpentry, or marine environments.
• Proficient with high-end tools including saws, drills, grinders, and other cutting equipment.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety and ability to read basic construction drawings.
• Must be dependable and capable of working with minimal supervision.
