Who are you?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Engineer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Estimating/Purchasing teams to ensure the smooth coordination and execution of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Estimating/Purchasing teams to finalize bid packages.
Assist in managing the submittal process including review, coordination, approval, and distribution of shop drawings, samples, and other submittals.
Take ownership of field Requests for Information (RFIs) and distribute them appropriately.
Maintain organized and up-to-date files on subcontract records, plans, specifications, changes, clarifications, and as-built documents.
Evaluate and prepare subcontractor change orders for processing by the Project Manager.
Assist in reviewing subcontractor payment requests to ensure alignment with work completed.
Record and distribute minutes from Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings.
Understand and ensure compliance with all subcontract documents.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and design professionals.
Communicate clearly to support effective on-site coordination of all teams and trades.
Qualifications:
Bachelor&s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
1-3 years of relevant experience in construction project coordination or engineering preferred.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction document management tools.
