Industrial Electrician**
**Job Description**
As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems throughout the production facility. You will need to have experience with reading ladder logic and troubleshooting PLCs, programming drives, and wiring 3-phase motors. Your duties will involve both low and high voltage troubleshooting, ranging from 24v to 480v. You will also be tasked with performing dual craft maintenance duties, including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and valves as necessary. Training on ammonia systems will be provided.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
+ Troubleshoot machinery and perform routine preventative maintenance.
+ Read, interpret, and follow instructions and operation manuals.
+ Demonstrate electrical competency for troubleshooting and familiarity with electrical principles and components.
+ Weld and fabricate parts and equipment.
+ Use an electrical meter for testing purposes.
+ Maintain a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
+ Have knowledge in piping systems, pipe fittings, pumps, motors, and valves.
+ Comprehend gearboxes, motors, bearings, sprockets, chains, bushings, belts, and pulleys.
+ Clean, repair, and install equipment and parts as needed.
+ Operate sit-down forklift and/or articulating boom lift.
+ Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
+ Comply with health and safety regulations.
+ Perform general maintenance work on buildings as assigned.
+ Maintain a strong working relationship with all plant departments.
+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
**Essential Skills**
+ Troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
+ PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic understanding.
+ Programming VFDs.
+ Understanding of schematics and blueprints.
+ Pump and valve repair.
+ Conveyor maintenance.
+ 3-phase electrical systems.
+ Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
+ FactoryTalk experience.
+ Ammonia refrigeration systems knowledge.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, PLC Technician, or similar role.
+ Preferred experience in a food manufacturing environment.
+ Trade school certificate or journeyman card.
+ Strong computer skills.
+ Mechanical aptitude and ability.
+ Ability to perform physical tasks and demonstrate physical dexterity.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and recommend solutions.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
+ Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
+ Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and push, pull, or move heavy machinery and drums.
+ Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift.
