We are seeking a seasoned, detail-oriented Journeyman HVAC technician to join our growing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a wide variety of residential and commercial HVAC systems, as well as sizing and installing new equipment. You will also play a vital role in guiding customers to select the most suitable air quality solutions for their needs. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a wide variety of HVAC systems (residential and commercial).
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
- Sizing and installing new equipment, ensuring optimal installation and design.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Analyzing and interpreting refrigerant types, pressure readings, and system set points.
- Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
- Reading and following diagrams and schematics with a high level of accuracy.
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Providing technical direction and on-the-job training for junior service techs.
- Keeping accurate daily logs and records of all work performed and materials used.
- Ensuring all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
- Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.
- Educating and advising customers on system operations.
- Assisting with customers' queries.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid New Mexico State Journeyman's license.
- EPA 608 Certification
- High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
- 5+ years experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude.
- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
- Strong understanding of refrigerant systems and performance parameters.
- Working knowledge of boiler systems.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
