Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring Associate, Experienced, and Senior Structural Design Engineers for advanced aircraft development programs located in Berkeley, MO. BDS Proprietary programs, develop complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) Customers. Position Responsibilities: Develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design Develop, maintain and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle Perform tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications Manage supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals Support investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security/SCI Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science (Level 2) 2+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor's or work related engineering experience with a Master's (Level 3) 5+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor's or 3+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master's or work related engineering experience with a PhD (Level 4) 9+ years of working experience with a Bachelor'sOR7+ years with a MastersOR4+ years with a PhD Experience with 3D solid modeling software Unigraphics Typical Education/Experience: Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
