Manager Position Summary: This position is responsible for development,
updating, and maintenance of project schedules and associated resource
plans at our vast, 63-acre facility. Significant heavy manufacturing
takes place both in several fab shops, as well as on the waterfront. The
successful candidate will support the 1,000+ working men and women on
our waterfront by posting and reporting of schedules and resource plans
as required; incorporating and maintaining baseline and performance
metrics within project schedule files as required; and adherence to
scheduling and resource planning processes, WBS standards and SOPs.
Detailed Description: This job is a learning position with the biggest
requirement being to develop skills in Primavera to progress to a more
advanced Scheduler role, and develop a basic knowledge of ship
construction work flow. Understand and learn basic EVMS (Earned Value
Management System) concepts. Update schedules with weekly input from
Production and Support Depts. Adds new schedule activities along with
all required codes. Print Schedules and Progress reports for
distribution to area supervisors/managers Internally communicate with
Planning, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Program Management,
Marketing, Finance, and Senior Management. Ability and willingness to
participate in physical progress reviews in shops and on the waterfront.
Maintain a commitment to and promote the Quality and Environmental,
Health & Safety Policies. Abide by all organizational policies and
procedures. Core Competencies: Communicates effectively \-- Developing
and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear
understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. Ensures
