Advance Testing Company Inc. is seeking Engineering Technicians in Campbell Hall, NY.
The Construction Material Engineering Technicians with Advance Testing, an established New York-based construction materials testing and inspection firm, has opportunities available for individuals to perform testing and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry and asphalt. Typical assignments include projects related to construction of roads, bridges, airports, tunnels, commercial and industrial buildings, schools, government and military sites, and material fabrication and production facilities.
Successful candidates will be trained and certified to perform sampling and testing of soil, concrete, and asphalt materials on construction sites and in a laboratory setting through locally and nationally recognized programs. Once trained and certified, employees are considered full-fledged Construction Materials Technician.
Responsibilities may include observing work in progress to ensure that procedures and materials used conform to approved drawings and specifications, perform standard testing of materials, prepare samples of materials for laboratory testing, examine workmanship of installations for conformity to specifications, maintain daily log of construction and inspection activities and complete clear, accurate reports daily, prepare sketches of construction installations that correlate with testing and inspection sites, and other related duties may be assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
Valid Class D Driver's License
Own Car
Shift, Salary, and Benefits; This is a Full-Time position, Monday - Saturday, Shifts vary, $18.00 - $22.00 hourly, Benefits include Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Leave, Holidays, and 401K/Retirement.
