General Foreman
SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking a General Foreman that will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing foreman and craft team members based on the project schedule and state and federal requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
Supervise and coordinate activities of foremen and their assigned craft workers
Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders
Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations
Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel
Study and analyze schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job
Analyze and resolve work problems
Maintain time records
Make cost estimates for contracts
Use logical step-by-step procedures in work
Plan work and solve problems
Make decisions based on measurable information
Operate machinery as needed
Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance
Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of five (5) years related experience
Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, detail orientation, ability to work according to detailed, standard instructions and well-defined, established procedures
Ability to determine work method from alternatives, work under broad assignments, active listening skills, and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback
Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
*Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
