What You Will Do**

Do you have a strong background in operations and a passion for quality assurance? We're seeking a **Quality Assurance Analyst for Assurance Assessments** within our Assessments Group (PAQ-4) to support the design, execution, and continuous evolution of formal assessments and audit activities throughout our Production Agency. As part of the **Production Agency Quality** division, this team plays a vital role in upholding standards that support operational confidence and risk mitigation across technical operations in support of our national security mission.

**Quality Assurance Analyst 2 ($78,700 - $125,100)**

As an Assurance Analyst in the Production Agency Quality Division, you will perform assessments on production activities for weapons, weapons-related, and non-weapons products, and the programs supporting their production. You will provide input for assessments, follow-up on actions taken in response to audit/assessment/surveillance findings to ensure corrective actions are taken. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, providing constructive feedback to ensure compliance and continuous improvement within the Production Agency.

**Quality Assurance Analyst 3 ($94,500 - $154,600)**

In addition to the duties outlined above, you will independently develop and lead quality assessments. Responsibilities include developing checklists/lines of inquiry for assessments, assign assessment duties to team members, communicating with internal and external personnel and organizations to schedule assessment activities, effectively communicate field results, and generate reports reflecting the assessments.

**Minimum Job Requirements:**

**Quality Standards:** Working knowledge and experience applying quality assurance regulatory, contractual, and technical documents, i.e., DOE Order 414.1D, 10 CRF 830, Weapons Quality Policy (NAP-401.1), ASME NQA-1, ISO 9001, AS9100 and Triad contract requirements.

**Quality Audits/Assessments** : Experience conducting and/or participating in assessments.

**Team Work/Collaboration:** Understanding of what it means to be customer focused. Proven record of success working in a team environment.

**Communication:** Strong oral and written communication skills.

**In addition to having working knowledge of the Quality Assurance Analyst 2 requirements, the Quality Assurance Analyst 3 must have the following** :

**Quality Assurance** : Demonstrated knowledge and skills in development of tools for quality assurance programs, technical assessments, corrective action plan development and review, and authoritative reporting to LANL organizations, DOE/NNSA, and contractor organizations. Experience participating in quality assurance assessments/audits as a team member or lead.

**Quality Knowledge:** Demonstrated knowledge and ability to develop and administer management information systems and to audit quality systems for deficiencies and develop corrective actions.

**Communication:** Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with all levels of an organization.

**Education/Experience Quality Assurance Analyst 2** : Position requires a Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.

**Education/Experience Quality Assurance Analyst 3:** Position requires a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.

**Desired Qualifications:**

**Technical Knowledge:** Manufacturing, construction and/or fabrication. Experience in highly regulated industries.

**Weapons Systems:** Knowledge of hazardous/nuclear material safety practices. Basic knowledge of weapons systems, manufacturing, production, and design operations and practices. Lead auditor certification under a quality management system (QMS) such as NQA-1, ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 17025.

**Clearance:** Active DOE Q Clearance.

**Work Environment:**

**Work Location:** The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.

**Position commitment:** Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.

**Additional Details**

**Directive 206.2** - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2 ( . **Clearance: Q** (Position will be cleared to this level). Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance. and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.

*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 ( for additional information.

**New-Employment Drug Test:** The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.

**Regular position:** Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
