Design Engineer

A prominent building products manufacturer is in search of a Design Engineer to focus on building products. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving construction products, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and manufacturing, to drive product innovation and growth.

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Building products, including mullions, transoms, glazing, and anchorage systems

• Conduct structural analysis, thermal analysis, and other simulations to ensure product performance and compliance with building codes and standards (e.g., AAMA, ASTM, IBC)

• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and develop product roadmaps

• Work with manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability and assembly

• Develop and maintain product documentation, including design guides, installation manuals, and test reports

• Conduct testing and validation, including physical testing and review of test reports

• Troubleshoot and resolve product-related issues in the field

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements
