Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates
- Perform quantity takeoffs and gather pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and budgets
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project requirements
- Coordinate with project managers and field teams to understand project scope and execution
- Maintain current knowledge of market conditions, material costs, and labor rates
- Track and review bid results to improve future estimating strategies
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating or related role
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices
- Proficient with estimating software (such as Conest, Bluebeam, or similar)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience preferred
