Water Wastewater Civil Engineer EIT or PE

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Civil or Mechanical Engineer to join our expanding water/wastewater group. This full-time role involves working collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and technical staff to produce plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates for municipal infrastructure projects. You will be involved in the design and construction oversight of various water and wastewater infrastructure such as booster pump stations, water production wells, storage tanks, sewage lift stations, odor control systems, water/wastewater treatment, and water/sewer lines and force mains. A solid experience in water/wastewater infrastructure is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee construction of water/wastewater infrastructure, civil site, and related projects.
  • Update designs based on feedback from managers and clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and calculations.
  • Conduct water/wastewater modeling and design.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations, hydraulic modeling, and pump selection.
  • Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and utility companies during the design process.
  • Conduct site and field inspections of project locations.
  • Perform technical research and investigation.
  • Ensure the accuracy of tasks through established processes.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 3-7 years of experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Arizona, or ability to become registered within one year.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D design package, and Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel skills as a plus.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed for meetings, consultations, and inspections.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in land development, site development, civil design, and drafting.
  • Self-starter with a professional attitude and team player mentality.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
