The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the building infrastructure is maintained to operations requirements and will supervise the Facilities Associates in their daily activities that support operations at our lab in Tampa, FL . This position will ensure all facility equipment and systems are functioning, clean, orderly, and compliant with applicable regulations. The Facilities Supervisor will manage the day to day operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance and repair of building equipment and regularly interact with vendors. The ideal candidate will have prior biotech, pharmaceutical or laboratory experience.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Potential for on-call time.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with all departments to enhance, implement and maintain facility-related operations, including, but not limited to, routine equipment repairs on all systems, preventive maintenance on utility equipment and water systems, utility equipment
- Supervise and develop the Facilities Department, including the development of personnel performance goals and departmental objectives
- Manage the facilities scheduling, allocation of resources, and the evaluation of timelines and project priorities in accordance with corporate goals
- Maintain a state of inspection readiness within the Facility services group
- Represent the Facilities Services group and serve as a liaison between Facilities and other departments where building activities involve maintenance activities: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
- Provide emergency call in support for facilities related emergencies
- Provide general support to all employees relating to building utilities and facilities
- Coordinate and supervise all inter-facility office moves, additions and changes, which includes modular furniture installations and modifications
- Manage and support offsite storage responsibilities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree or higher preferred
- 3 years of relevant facilities experience in in building construction, maintenance, or repair work,
- Experience working within in a diagnostics laboratory, biotech, pharmaceutical or life sciences industry highly desired
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of basic HVAC principals, basic electrical distribution and plumbing skills
- Knowledge of general facilities safety practices and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative and changing environment necessary
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Previous forklift experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
