Must Haves:
Senior management leadership experience with back office large scale transformations delivering tangible benefits to organizations
Experience developing modernization strategies and target operating models
10+ years of senior project/program management experience
Proven leadership of ERP implementations (e.g., Oracle, Workday, SAP, MS Dynamics)
Experience in public sector, health care, or large-scale service organizations
Experience with Operating Model Strategy and Implementation
Exceptionalmunication and stakeholder engagement skills and change management skills
Proven experience in dealing with vendors including consulting firms
Ability to drive results and hold vendors and consulting firms accountable for deliverables

Project Overview
This initiative aims to transform the organization's back-office functionsincluding Finance, HR, Payroll and Procurement and how they are used by all VON stakeholdersthrough an operating model and process modernization and the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The Executive Project Manager (EPM) will oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of the program. 3
Objective of the Engagement
To provide senior-level management, governance, and delivery management for the entire back-office transformation, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and in-scope delivery of the ERP implementation while supporting organizational readiness and business continuity.
Scope of Work
Governance and Leadership
- Establish and lead the program governance structure.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Executive Co-leads and the project delivery teams.
- Define roles, responsibilities, decision rights, and escalation paths across workstreams.
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Develop the strategy for the new target operating model.
- Determine the resourcing for the project implementation team.
- Determine what readiness activities should be done in advance of implementation.
- Develop and maintain aprehensive integrated project plan with timelines, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths. This includes process changes and organizational changes.
- Align ERP implementation with organizational goals and change management strategies.
- Assist in the selection of ERP software and systems integrator.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage executive sponsors, business unit leaders, and functional leads to define business requirements.
- Communicate project vision, status, and risks to executive stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross-functional decision-making.
Project Delivery Oversight
- Oversee project delivery (design, configuration, testing, data migration, training, and deployment).
- Coordinate internal and external resources, including ERP vendors and consultants.
- Monitor performance metrics and project KPIs.
Risk and Issue Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
- Establish and manage issue logs, risk registers, and change control processes.
Change Management and Readiness
- Develop and implement change management strategy and plan
- Support organizational readiness assessments, training programs, andmunication planning.
Budget and Resource Management
- Oversee and track project budget, expenditures, and resource utilization.
- Rmend corrective actions as needed to keep the project within financial targets.
