Day Shift Hours: 6:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday (Fridays as needed for mandatory overtime depending on production needs) Position Summary This role will provide a full range of responsibilities that include but are not limited to: installation of electrical wiring systems and control systems for oilfield control and power systems manufactured at the Steffes facility. Occasional field visits may also be required for maintaining and repairing Steffes products that are in service in the field and/or to collect customer feedback for future projects. This job description outlines the general responsibilities and requirements for Electricians at Steffes, categorized by certification level in accordance with North Dakota State Electrical Board (NDSEB) standards. Electricians may progress through the Apprentice, Journeyman, and Master levels, each with defined scopes of work and responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Always maintains a culture of safety in the workplace and follows Steffes safety procedures. Builds, tests, and documents installations of both basic and advanced electrical and control systems. Conduct work in accordance with relevant codes, customer specifications, and Steffes specifications. Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems. Journeyman Electrician: Mentor Apprentices from beginning to end assignments to ensure quality work and facilitate learning. Master Electrician: May act as a delegate electrical quality inspector. Participate in the continuous improvement of Steffes products and processes. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management. Helps the company meet its Strategic, Quality, and Safety objectives. Other duties may be assigned. Job Requirements/Qualifications Combination of electrical certification(s) and/or experience is preferred. Apprentice Electrician - Enrollment in or completion of a registered apprenticeship program required. Journeyman Electrician - Valid Journeyman license issued by the NDSEB. Required to maintain licensure through continuing education and compliance with state requirements. Master Electrician - Valid Master Electrician license issued by the NDSEB. Required to maintain licensure through continuing education and compliance with state requirements. Previous oilfield experience and knowledge is preferred. High School Diploma/GED or higher level Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.) Good communication skills Basic math skills Reading skills (Basic instructional and technical information) -OR- An acceptable combination of education and experience Functional & Cognitive Requirements of Position This position requires walking, sitting, or standing to a significant degree. Must have the ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds. Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs. Stooping, crouching, kneeling, and bending. Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities. Visual acuity is required to inspect work completed. This role may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
