Clean Room Extrusion Operator ($18-23/hr.) Job Description Join a dynamic team as a Clean Room Extrusion Operator with positions available on both first and third shifts. This role involves working in a clean room environment regulated by the FDA, operating rubber extrusion machinery, and managing silicone and rubber materials. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity. Responsibilities Operate a rubber extrusion machine in an FDA-regulated clean room environment. Feed silicone and rubber materials into the machine according to work instructions. Cut products to size and prepare them for packaging. Perform changeovers and follow instructions for machine preparation. Work in a fast-paced environment while lifting up to 50 lbs. Conduct quality checks and visual inspections on products. Document inspection results and stand at the machine for the entire shift. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of machine operator experience. Ability to read a tape measure accurately. Willingness to work on Saturdays if required. Capability to follow work instructions and meet production goals. Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand throughout the shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience with injection mold machines and working in clean rooms. Open to wearing a clean room suit, hair net, and beard net if applicable. Work Environment Work in a facility with 50 employees across three shifts and nine automated extrusion machines. The environment is extremely clean and temperature-controlled, with air conditioning in summer and heating in winter. Employees will wear paper gowns, tennis shoes, and adhere to strict GMP/FDA requirements, including PPE such as hairnets and beard nets. The sterile room is maintained at 68 degrees, providing a comfortable workspace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Ohio.
