As an industry leader working across the United States we take pride in our professional and dedicated team, and we are looking for an Asbestos Estimator to join us. Here at National, we provide our clients with industry leading talent to complete their largest environmental and demolition needs dismantling power plants, warehouses, and multi-story buildings, just to name a few.
As an asbestos estimator you will be visiting sites across the country, preparing thorough estimates using blueprints and other data to predict the cost of labor. As this position does require travel, there will be a variety of people to meet and work with each day. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has asbestos/demolition experience and is looking for a challenge with an established industry leader.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Gather proposals, blueprints, and specification for work to be estimated
Complete cost analysis for Labor, Material, and Time
Build and maintains a database for cost analysis
Identify time requirements, labor and material use proposals, blueprints, and specifications
Manage multiple projects with firm deadlines
Utilize a unique perspective on problem resolution by collecting and analyzing information
Interpret project specifications, drawings, and contracts
Attend pre bid meetings, understanding bid documents to include plans and specs
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator or a similar role
Exceptional mathematic skills
Outstanding problem-solving skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft OS: Word, Excel, Power Point
Detail-oriented, with a preference for high quality and technical expertise

o Experience with demolition of Heavy-Industrial, Commercial, or Municipal Sites
o Working knowledge of construction-related software and OSHA 30
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms, communicate clearly using both written and verbal communication, to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time with probable repetitive motion, climbing stairs/ladders, kneeling/crouching/bending, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, regularly required to drive to job walks/pre-bid, job site meetings.
