Manpower Engineering is currently working with a global design and manufacturing company that creates composite and metal aircraft structural assemblies and subassemblies. Due to the continued growth of the organization, they are hiring for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: North Charleston, SC

Pay Range: $100,000-130,000

What's the Job?
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the design and development of aerospace structures and assembly tools. This role involves mechanical design, technical project definition, and engineering analysis, with a focus on ensuring structural integrity and cost-effective assembly processes.

  • Performing mechanical design of aerospace structures and related components and assembly tools.
  • Defining the technical aspects of the project & creating SOWs (Statements of Work).
  • Analyzing mechanical assembly engineering data within project models.
  • Conducting failure investigations to determine the root cause of issues and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Participating in the characterization processes for pricing and assembly costs.

What's Needed:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical design within the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software CATIA is an advantage.
  • Excellent people skills, ability to integrate into teamwork, and work well under pressure.
  • An understanding designs of assembly tools and positioning tools.
  • Experience managing engineering projects in production aligned with machining processes an advantage
