Batch Plant Operator**
**Job Description**
The Batch Plant Operator will control and oversee the daily operations of the wet and dry cast concrete production processes.
**Responsibilities**
+ Efficiently operate batching equipment and concrete mixers to maintain maximum production levels.
+ Use batch control equipment to adjust concrete batches to maintain high-quality concrete.
+ Visually monitor batch control board and screen to ensure proper equipment and process functions for making concrete.
+ Assist with and perform routine maintenance on concrete mixers, including checking and replacing fluids, lubricating parts, and cleaning equipment as needed.
+ Possess general knowledge of hydraulic and electrical components associated with batching equipment.
+ Monitor and track the usage of cement and fly ash daily.
+ Keep batching equipment clean and in good operating condition.
+ Receive delivery tickets for aggregates and cementitious materials for quality and accounting purposes.
+ Work with plant supervision to coordinate the delivery of concrete to work departments within the plant.
+ Summarize daily concrete batch data and usage from wet and dry batch processes to report material usage against products produced.
+ Familiar with and apply Lock Out Tag Out Procedures.
+ Diagnose and assist in troubleshooting when mixing/batching processes are interrupted.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
+ Walk up and down stairs.
+ Able to stand or sit for various periods of time.
+ Basic computer skills necessary to operate batch system controls.
+ Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication skills.
+ Previous concrete batch processing or equipment experience preferred.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Batch system experience - 2+ years at Ready Mix Plant.
+ Large industrial forklift experience - 1+ years.
+ Farm work experience - 1+ years.
+ Ability to read blueprints.
+ Ability to read tape measure down to 1/8 of an inch.

**Work Environment**

The facility is dirty and dusty, similar to a construction environment, and not temperature-controlled. Dress code includes a hard hat, jeans, steel-toed boots, and safety glasses. Join a team of about 60 people, expanding to 80 during peak seasons, in a collaborative and cross-trained environment.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
