Horner & Shifrin is seeking a Project Manager to work on Illinois
Tollway projects in our Transportation business unit from our Chicago
office. This position oversees the planning, coordination, and execution
of design projects and requires 10+ years of experience.
**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:**
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines,
budgets, and resource allocation.
- Ensure all project phases are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with engineers, government agencies, and other
stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
- Facilitate regular meetings, internal and external, to discuss
project status, address issues, and coordinate efforts.
- Oversee the work of multidiscipline project teams, providing
guidance and support as needed.
- Conduct regular quality monitoring to ensure that all work meets all
required standards and specifications.
- Coordinate quality audits, internal and external.
- Monitor risks throughout the project and adjust plans as necessary
to minimize impact.
- Provide regular updates to H&S management on project progress,
including any issues or changes to the plan.
- With support from H&Ss Project Billing Specialist, develop monthly
invoices, submit invoices via the Tollways e-Builder process, and
monitor payment status.
**POSITION REQUIREMENTS:**
- Licensed professional engineer in Illinois
- Several years of experience in project management, particularly in
infrastructure or transportation projects.
- Experience with Illinois Tollway projects (both project specific and
upon request), processes, technical specifications, and
organizational structure.
- Experience with the Tollways web-based project management and design
review software.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills to
effectively manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to simultaneously
manage multiple aspects of a project.
- Analytical skills to assess project performance and make data-driven
decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address issues that arise during
the project.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the
transportation and construction industries.
- Must possess a valid drivers license
- Must complete a background check
**EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:**
Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering.
**SALARY RANGE:**
*Horner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and
is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target
salary range for this position is \$105,000 to \$160,000. Compensation
for the successful candidate will consider the candidates particular
combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and
geographic location.*
