Job Description We are seeking an Architectural Project Manager to independently manage high-end single-family residential projects from start to finish. You will be involved in all phases of architecture, including schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. Your role will involve client interfacing and coordination with engineering trades, as well as managing a team of junior staff and performing site visits as needed. Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead project architect and client liaison throughout all project phases.
- Manage design documentation, scheduling, and consultant coordination with civil, structural, and MEP teams.
- Oversee internal design staff, including junior designers, coordinators, and renderers.
- Coordinate seamlessly with construction and millwork teams during preconstruction and construction phases.
- Review construction progress and respond to RFIs and submittals in collaboration with the field team.
- Ensure deliverables meet firm standards for design excellence, technical accuracy, and client expectations.
- Lead zoning/code research and support permit filing in local jurisdictions.
- Track project budgets, hours, and milestones using project management systems.
- Ability to manage projects from inception through completion.
- Experience managing junior teams and interfacing with clients.
- Proficiency in residential architecture, architectural design, project management, drafting, and construction documentation.
- Expert knowledge in AutoCAD, design, schematic design, design development, and construction administration.
- 5-10 years of architecture experience with high-end single-family residential projects.
- Bachelor of Architecture; licensure is a plus.
- Proficiency using Revit to produce construction documents is advantageous.
- Previous client interface experience and ability to maintain client relationships.
- Residential building code knowledge.
- Experience managing a team of junior architects.
- Design/Build experience is a plus.
