Job Description
The Cloud Infrastructure Construction Environmental Compliance team is responsible for ensuring environmental permit compliance related to the construction of Data Centers. The Construction Environmental Compliance Lead will manage environmental permits during construction until the turnover to operations. This role involves managing consultants supporting site inspections, cooperating with internal and external business partners to achieve compliance goals, and developing and submitting required AHJ reports and inspections. The lead will work closely with the General Contractor to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, ordinances, guidelines, standards, and permit requirements. Serving as the environmental representative to external stakeholders, this role requires regular engagement with key stakeholders, including Compliance, Permitting, Legal, Design, Construction, and Operations teams, regulatory agencies, and outside consultants and contractors. This is a region-specific role requiring onsite inspections and field support in San Antonio.
Responsibilities
- Manage environmental permits during the construction phase until turnover to operations.
- Oversee consultants supporting site inspections and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Cooperate with internal and external business partners to achieve compliance goals.
- Develop and submit required AHJ reports and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations, ordinances, guidelines, standards, and permit requirements.
- Serve as the environmental representative to external stakeholders.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including Compliance, Permitting, Legal, Design, Construction, and Operations teams, regulatory agencies, and outside consultants and contractors.
- Conduct onsite inspections and field support in the San Antonio region.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of experience in environmental permitting.
- 5+ years of experience in conducting environmental due diligence.
- 5+ years of project management experience.
- Strong environmental technical background.
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in environmental permitting, environmental compliance, and environmental due diligence activities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to drive high-impact project activities.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize activities and drive results.
Work Environment
This role requires regular onsite inspections and field support in the San Antonio region. The work involves close collaboration with a variety of stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, and requires adherence to strict environmental guidelines and standards.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $88.00/hr.
