Press Brake Operator**
**Job Description**
As a Press Brake Operator, you will utilize a computer panel to operate a CNC machine, forming and bending pieces of steel according to work instructions. You will be responsible for placing and removing sections of steel on and off the machine while continuously monitoring and measuring material to ensure adherence to specifications. Maintaining the work area to facilitate production activities is also a key part of this role.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate an Acupress Press Brake efficiently.
+ Load and unload plates of steel onto the burn table using overhead cranes while ensuring safety.
+ Understand and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
+ Conduct dimensional inspections of parts and verify quality requirements.
+ Coordinate proper programming with CNC controls, making necessary changes or recommendations.
+ Ensure the safe operation, care, and maintenance of shop equipment.
+ Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, grinders, and similar equipment.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with press brake operation.
+ Proficiency in using a tape measure.
+ Knowledge of fabrication processes.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Experience in machine operation.
+ Familiarity with shear press operations.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with sheet metal and brake press operations.
+ Ability to use micrometers effectively.
**Work Environment**
The work environment involves operating various machinery and equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and grinders. Safety is paramount, and adherence to protocols is required. The facility is equipped for fabrication processes and requires the operator to handle steel plates using overhead cranes. Attire suitable for a manufacturing environment is recommended.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philomath, Oregon.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
