POSITION OVERVIEW:

The electrician is responsible for maintaining and repairing GFH/GFC's owned normal and emergency power distribution systems and equipment up to 480 volts from secondary side of unit subs, distribution boards, panel boards, and branch circuit wiring. Maintain and repair lighting, lighting controls systems, motors, VFDs, MCCs, Fire Alarm System, and other alarm systems; locate and diagnose electrical malfunctions using various test instruments such as VOMs, meggars, voltage testers, etc. Repair malfunctions by such methods as replacing defective components, fuses and/or wiring. Test various equipment and systems to ensure reliability. Perform preventative maintenance on core building electrical systems and maintain documentation. Helps with day to day building operations duties which can include boiler and HVAC operations, building operations including openings, closings and alarm activation/deactivation, grounds care, and specialized education or training in electronics, communications or other specialty that is beneficial to the clinic organization. Other duties that are deemed necessary will be assigned by the Senior Director of Support Services, COO or CEO.

EDUCATION:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Certification from a Vo-Tech or trade school, preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of verifiable and successful building operations experience, required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in the healthcare industry performing electrical work, required.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Montana driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons and no moving violations for one year in order to operate Clinic vehicles.
  • Licensed as a Journeyman Electrician
  • A current Montana Low Pressure Boiler Operators License, preferred (or obtained within one year of hire)

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Previous experience in building operations is a plus.
  • Computer and keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to work with a variety of equipment, analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Current skills in welding, soldering, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, grounds care and equipment operation, carpentry, concrete and landscaping required.
  • Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
